WHAT IS A THERMOMETRY LAB?

Most likely, even without realizing it, you have measured the temperature of a body at least once. When you had a fever, for example. What instrument do you think about when doing something like that? That’s right, a thermometer.

But, do you know what exactly a thermometer is?

A thermometer is an instrument thermally isolated used to measure the temperature of a body. This is done thanks to the dilation that this body suffers (more dilation, higher temperature). There is a practice of temperature measurement known as thermometry.

Thermometry

The number one tool for thermometry is the thermometer, and currently there is a wide variety of specialized thermometers used for different tasks, using different technologies but achieving the same goal, such as the thermographic camera.

Thermometric laboratory

In this kind of lab measurements of temperature are taken, using specialized instruments such as infrared thermometers and thermographic cameras. Calibration is one of the main functions of these labs.

WHAT IS THERMOGRAPHY?

Infrared thermometer

It’s one of the most used technologies regarding infrared radiation, it’s useful and cost-effective.

Thermographic camera

A thermographic camera is a device that detects energy radiated form an object and identifies it within the specter to measure its temperature. Both cameras and thermometers need regular calibration.

Kapter

In Kapter we offer calibration and characterization services for thermometers and thermographic cameras, as we are aware of the market’s needs for precise measurements.
